Yo listen up here's a story
About a little guy that lives in a blue world
And all day and all night and everything he sees
Is just blue like him inside and outside
Blue is his house with a blue little window
And a blue corvette
And everything is blue for him and himself
And everybody around
'cause he ain't got nobody to listen to

I'm blue da ba dee da ba die...

I have a blue house with a blue window.
Blue is the colour of all that I wear.
Blue are the streets and all the trees are too.
I have a girlfriend and she is so blue.
Blue are the people here that walk around,
Blue like my corvette, it's standing outside.
Blue are the words I say and what I think.
Blue are the feelings that live inside me.

I'm blue da ba dee da ba die...

Inside and outside blue his house
With the blue little window
And a blue corvette
And everything is blue for him and himself
And everybody around
'cause he ain't got nobody to listen to

I'm blue da ba dee da ba die...

I'm blue (da ba dee da ba die)

Tear it out of these open pages,
Women and kids of all ages,
Millions of men with blank faces,
Italicised lies, headlines, bold type

Living lives just like deer in headlights,
Terrified, blind, and wait to die,
I wonder when they'll come get me,
I wonder when they'll come get me:

We want you, have to need you:
And we'll tell you when they're hungry again,
And we'll tell you when they're hungry again,
It never ends, never ends:
We want you, have to need you:
And we'll tell you when they're hungry again,
And we'll tell you when they're hungry again,
It never ends, never ends, never ends:

Big shot screaming, "Put your hands in the sky,"
He says, "Give it up boy, give it up or you're gonna die,
You'll get a bullet in the back of the neck,
In the back of the neck right between the eyes."
Big shot screaming, "Put your hands in the sky,"
He says, "Give it up boy, give it up or you're gonna die,
You'll get a bullet in the back of the neck,
In the back of the neck right between the eyes."

this is a war we live and the sides are drawn (the sides are drawn).
and we're all wrapped up in fatigues and they wear us out (wear us out).
there is a storm at sea.
if we fly a white flag under a black and blue sky, will the red sun rise?

(the taste of your kerosine lips burn me up)
if we fly a white flag under a black and blue sky, will the red sun rise?
rise, glare from your enemy sights make me go blind/blinds
divide the sunlight into thin strips, the size of a blade, in this trench that we dig for ourselves.
fourscore and fade. glare with the enemy heat of the bodies in the bed. no retreat.

this is a war we live in. now we're up in arms (up in arms)
with our heads pressed against the wall and it's wearing thin (and wearing thin).
these are the screams we swallow,
if we fly a white flag under a black and blue sky, will the red sun rise?

(the taste of your kerosine lips burn me up)
if we fly a white flag under a black and blue sky, will the red sun rise?
rise, the glare from your enemy sights make me go blind

this is our war
administer the pill (keep fighting)
before the cell divides (keep marching)
we'll both go down like toy soldiers.

this is a war
threats and picket lines (keep fighting)
are forming around our beds (keep marching)
and the landmines in our chests will all go off in time.

if we trip each other into this,
do you think we'll find a way out?
we've synthesized a compound to treat this conscience, it's:

one part loss, one part no sleep, one part the gun shot we heard,
one part the screams mistaken for laughter, one part everything after,
one part love, one part stepping out of the driving rain,
one part parting ways, in the cold apartment. don't look back,
just keep running down the stairs. do you hear the footsteps?
can you hear voices in the traffic, communiques in the attic?
they say, after time, all this will heal,
we will rebuild and these broken arms will mend themselves in our embrace.

how be?
today was awesome. town was full of people, and warm and sunny, but me and tam LIKED it. was the perfect amount of warm. only downside being i was wearing the wrong clothes, so bought a tshirt in tk max and changed into it when we were at cafe for lunch :D it is lushious, brown with sequiny things in some places. also at tk max tam bought awesome trainers and i bought girly shoes, which is weird :P but they are AWESOME. heeled sandal things. like chunky heels. like 3 inches maybe. am nearly as tall as tam. ^^ bah ha. made the balls of my feet hurt tho. :( ah well!

we saw 21 at cinema, v.good film TO WATCH, v.bad ending tho? i dunno.
playing a lot of sonic / mario kart on gamecube at the moment (ace).
and i seem to have JUST discovered bbc iPlayer and online 40D. go me. :D have been watched dr who, id do anything, to buy or not to buy (<3 christian), and genius child, all vg. but methinks there's nothing else. dr who and id do anything were on tonight, so il watch them tomorrow, but what for the rest of the week? to buy or not to buy may be immense, but there's still only so much you can take :P

ANYONE GOING TO TROWBRIDGE PUMP FESTIVAL THIS YEAR? well we've applied to be stewards XD which would be ace, but i dunno how likely that is. (free ticket and you do some work over the weekend.) but even if we don't get that, i'm going with my two cousins anyway, il buy a ticket, and would be awesome if anyone else wanted to come :D £95 for a ticket if buy it by end of june, and fest. is 24th ish of july (like thursday-sunday). huzzah.

exams are LOOMING. but never mind that.

it is sunny. and i am happy. and tam is coming round soon to watch a crappy film on 40D and to snuggle and to sleep. more huzzah.

might phone mum. bit late mebbe? am only phoning after all to tell her of shoe situation. as it is awesome.

either way, ta ta :) xxx

well hallo.
i am back at uni this week (well, as of yesterday), and its very nice having two days to be like NO LECTURES JUST MY LOVELY ROOM AND REVISION PLANNING etc. oh, and read bridget jones 2 which is, thankfully, nothing like the film. vg. ^^

realised had more money than needed so have bought tam's dad's birthday present a good three weeks early (go me) plus earrings from the same site cause they were only £3, plus pride and prejudice (bbc version) from amazon, plus pre-ordered new death cab album as amazon told me i only had to add £6 to my order to get free delivery and probs would have bought new death cab album when comes out in a few weeks anyway as death cab are current favourite band. :D yay, lots of things.

and me+tam bought an orange mobile so as to properly abuse orange wednesdays at colchester odeon. would like to see 21 (has anyone seen?) and sex in the city film which is out in may? which might be crap, but might not be. we are currently on episode 8 of series 1 - series 1 is shite, somewhat unexpectedly, but its getting better. she does EXTERNAL MONOLOGUE. when does she ever do that? i do not remember her ever doing that. it is mostly awful, but sometimes ok.

going to cam and mj's in norwich soon :D to live it up for their birfdees. huzzah. will see jamie and jess and miles and lots of new people and hopefully get some work done on the trains :P (seems unlikely, but am taking three books, so am feeling ambitious).

feel quite happy and content, which is strange considering four weeks til first exam and haven't started revising yet (and haven't worked all year) - BUT (as i continue to remind myself) a) my descartes essay (first essay of the year) was only 900 / 2000 words and absolutel shit but i got 50%. and you only need 40% to pass the exams. so HAH. b) in the next four weeks i will probably do more work and learning than have done all year, so will at least feel slightly more prepared / knowledgable. c) i have put the week for resits in my calendar and will keep it free. it is the first week of september, so if fail politics or enlightenment will have whole of summer to put right. :)

looking forward to the summer. is only 7 weeks away! (technically 10, but no idea what is supposed to happen after my exams... am i expected to stay in essex? UNLIKELY.) list of fab things: cottage, friends, garden party. list of possibilities: TEFL course with ellen, short camping holiday in new forest or somewhere similarly fab with parents, PK @ luci's, folk festival of some sort, work experience in london... LOOK AT ALL THE ACE POSSIBILITIES.

really am feeling v.g. :)

So I've finished and handed in both essays and yays. ^^ Parents coming down on Friday, staying with cousins fri night then leaving on Saturday for trowbo! XD So all that's left to do is massively tidy and hoover room (it's getting pretty gross), make sure all my washing up is done and no rotting food / food able to rot is left in cupboards/fridge/room, and do one last load of clothes washing. And we need to buy more cooking oil. :) This week am watching star wars with pete and dale tonight, and beforehand me and tam might go to top bar to watch some live musac :O esitin. Plus molly's coming down for a drink at top bar tomorrow night. Then Thursday night me and tam might go watch Brazil with art film soc (which will be interesting coz ive never gone to art film soc, have always had choir, but i do think we joined... :P). Aaand, oh yeah, got to go into essex&suffolk lettings on thursday morning to pay them £1125. o.O which seems a bit dubious. They want cash cause they don't own a card machine, and I always thought you paid the deposit when you moved in. ... Dubious. But what can you do.

Has anyone here seen Attention, Scum! ? I miss it rather a lot.

"THUS! I WIN."

Ah simplicity.

There's an advertisement on the side of lj at the moment which has an envelope and a heart and says: "You Have 1 New Crush from Colchester! We have Tracked that One of Your Friends Likes You!" That is both harsh and untrue. Why must they lie to me and use capital letters in a manner which seems random?

Easter hols are going to be ace. Christmas is always a little disappointing - you think you have loads of spare time but then there's actual Christmas and New Years Eve and it's all good fun cuz relatives and parties and shopping and cooking and whatever are all good but then it's back to school and like WOAH, WHERE DID THAT HOLIDAY GO? So am looking forward to the next four weeks, in which I have planned very little ^^. Am looking forward to a kilvey reunion. If it turns out I can't go to Luci's, shall manipulate people into a situation whereby I get to see them all. :)

Tam has BROKEN my chair. The cushion on his is fixed on, and the poor boy cannot sit on a chair without rocking back. But my cushion is not fixed on (though sturdly in place enough for me) and whenever he rocks on it the cushion moves. I just had to push it back into place. HONESTLY. :)

Am in rather a good mood. It's quite shocking. And I keep looking forward to the holiday but I bet I'm going to be v. bored. Oh well, probably a good thing as have two essays, a year's worth of reading to do plus extra revision for the exams... Alas!

This is so sad. I'm looking muchly forward to the kilvey-orientated or posb school friends-orientated (or both or combined :O) party/ies that I shall have once immense house has been moved into in October and furniture bought and arranged. OMG. Get through exams first Heather :P

Plus me and Tam totally worked out that if I have a 9-5 mon-fri job over the summer for at least 5 weeks I would earn £1000. O_O I think. (£5 x 8 hours x 5 days x 5 weeks. Awesomes.) That would be immense. If I made at least that and managed not to spend it all I could go to the pump festival AND wickham festival (£100 each), I could pay to have accommodation in London while I do work experience there for a week (probably £150 including food needs), I could pay to learn intensive Italian next year (£400 OOSH) and some money to buy furniture for new house. That's a lot of spenditures :P. But it's all fine. I probably won't do work experience til later coz can't afford to stay in london :( and probs will manage to pay for furniture with loan. And probs will only to one festival. And have a plan whereby I borrow money from mum and pay it back slowly for Italian. So it'd probs all be fine. But a nice little £1000 when I'd quite like a proper job for a bit would be quite nice ^^

I think I'm rambling a bit. But it's nice after a frantic week to finally have half an hour to waste on livejournal. :D

If anybody wants to meet up over easter that would be LOVELY. Could have lunch in Bath / Bristol or waste an evening watching films / episodes of a common interest :) <3

I love death cab for cutie and brand new at the moment. Have rediscovered death cab and brand new never gets old. Favourite Death Cab song of the day is... Well. For some reason it is called "405" on my playlist. But I swear in a live version he has he called it something else. Have been listening to them for about a week in a row, as you may have realised if have been looking at my facebook updates :P

Feel a bit worry about grandparents. Tam's Lyme grandparents Joyce and Michael are doing ok I think, but they're very old in an act-like-it kind of way, and we're going to drive down and see them ourselves soon which will be nice :) Tam's Mickey (grandma who lives down the road) had a fall a few weeks ago and I think has heart problems quite a bit. And gets very angry/cross when these things happen. :( I, only having one set of grandparents to worry about, have a granddad who I think is fine. He had a leg thing a few years ago but health/heart wise I think he's ok, but grandma has fallen over randomly twice in the last week. Meh. It's funny, I always knew that grandparents were old when I was closer to them all, but now that I am at university and they are all impossibly far away (not rly I suppose) and it would be difficult to leave at a moment's notice coz of essays and exams, I am suddenly very aware of their age and related-issues. Am looking forward to seeing my grandma, apparently she bruised her face quite a lot when she fell over, and they're doing some tests this thursday to see what's up. Will be good to see her.

Anyways. That's probably RAMBLING ENOUGH. Going to have a biscuit. :)

having just written 1300 words I feel slightly better ^^ though not much, as am still v. nackered and, actually, 1300 words on ONLY my introduction and locke (considering i have 4 more philosophers to write about within a 3000 word limit (well, 3500 absolute max)) is not a good thing. it shall mean lots of word editing, which i hate doing.
and i have to wake up at 9:30! alas! that is very early for me!
however i do get to spend the day with two of my favourite people, and to go see the history boys :O so that's an awesome thing.
am turning the computer off now anyway in order to sleep, sweet dreams all :) xxx

hallo.

WE HAS A HOUSE.

all must come visit me next year in colchester, coz il have a lovely little house ^^ its 182A St. Andrew's Avenue - though surprising this is on an A road / duel carriageway? in the middle of colch anyway - but it's got it's own tiny little road/street running parallel to the v. big and noisy and scary road, which = good coz lots of parking space for the parents etc. it has a garage which has a door into it from the house (which means we are going to buy a pool table to put into it ^^ plus a loo+sink room. then up flight of stairs and get kitchen/lovely space for like a dining room. + garden outside which is on like three levels (coz its on a hill) - quite small but cute (good for un bbq ^^). then up a few steps and get a room wot looks the lounge and it is big and awesome. then up a few more stairs and get three bedrooms. 1 big, 1 medium and 1 small. so me and dale will have the bigger ones and tam will have the small one (coz he's living in my room too, its just an extra room for his stuff + if we get annoyed with each other :P). and also a bathroom upstairs, which we didn't get to see because someone was in it, LOL. but woman said it had a bath + shower head. so that's fine :P thus it is very quirky due to all the steps (plus indoor garage (aka: games room) ^^) and it's all v.v.v. cool.

only downsides is that the deposit is massive and its unfurnished - but thats ok coz my dad is moving out of his bridgwater house and back into trowbridge house (coz leaving job at bridgwater) and thus FURNITURE BLAG! we will have to acquire more furniture obv but there's always dale's dad's antiquing business, plus freecycle, plus charity / 2nd hand shops. ^^ me and dale have BIG PLANS MY FRIEND. they will be fun.

so yes. there's all of that. we've filled in the forms and paid and just need to sign something else early next week :)

it's been a very stressful day though. week, perhaps. have two essays due in monday/tuesday and haven't started either yet (have planned+note-taken completely for philosophy, just need to write the essay, but havent even chosen question for politics) and am out all day tomorrow. SHOULD BE FUN.

cant wait til easter. :P
